Creative Sprouts Playshops for Kids
Chris Dunmire is facilitating the following kid's workshops at Womanspace New Dimensions Studio in Rockford, Illinois, during 2009 (download the PDF "Your Guide" catalog from their home page for current scheduled dates and times).
These fun, high-energy “playshops” for boys & girls ages 7-12 are designed with optimum
space for creative expression, idea sharing,
teamwork & play! Kids will enjoy an engaging
morning of hands-on creativity applied through
games, activities, and projects that will bust
through boredom and inspire imaginations!

#001 You Can Draw Cartoony Things! (All Year)
Overview (2.5 hrs.): Kids will enjoy a hands-on introduction to drawing cartoony things while exploring their imagination and sense of humor through the creative outlet of comic drawing in a creativity-nurturing environment.
Participants of this funshop receive a copy of Chris's You Can Draw Cartoony Things! Playbook and an empowering certificate of cartoony completion.
#002 Playful Collage Creations (All Year)
Overview (2.5 hrs.): Kids will explore a variety of creative collage examples, images, and materials used in collage art, and then create their own playful collage or assemblage full of fun. Materials and techniques include paper, fabric, magazine images, stamping, tearing, cutting, gluing, drawing, and coloring.
